1. 개요 [편집]
영국의 록밴드 비틀즈의 앨범 Yellow Submarine에 수록된 폴 매카트니의 동요이다.
1967년 5월 12일[1]에 녹음되었지만, 노래가 별로라는 이유로 2년이나 발매가 늦어졌고 1969년 1월 Yellow Submarine 앨범에 수록되어 발매되게 되었다. 폴 매카트니가 쓴 동요중 가장 대표적인 곡으로 여겨지고 있다. 음도 간단하고[2] 폴 매카트니 특유의 중독성 있는 멜로디 때문에 매카트니 경의 라이브 공연에도 간간히 연주되는 곡이다.
동요이지만 가사 중간 중간에 보면 당시 비틀즈 멤버들이 심취해있었던 히피 사상이 얼핏 드러나는 곡이기도 하다.
